Celebrating 40 years of programming on Xmas Day 2022. Got a ZX Spectrum back in 82 and haven’t seen much daylight since.

I find making up Cat6e patch cables a meditative experience.

Seems experience counts for nothing in the InfoSec world of work, only qualifications - that are mostly out of day before the syllabus is even agreed never mind published. I’m pretty sure those 14 year olds breaking into networks got their qualifications in a formal setting before turning their attention to nefarious activities …. either that or the industry is out of alignment with reality.
